Romare has released details of his debut full-length, Projections. The London producer will release his debut album through Ninja Tune in February. Projections will be released on CD, digital and as a double-pack LP. Watch the album trailer below.
Taking name and influence from Romare Bearden, the well-known collagist whose work centered on black America, London-born producer Archie Fairhurst burst onto the scene in 2012 with Meditations On Afrocentrism, an EP that outlined his fascination with African-American culture and its traditions. Coming out on Ninja Tune, the forthcoming album furthers his exploration into the field, while re-imagining “the profound cultural impact of the collage technique for a new generation of music listeners.”
With only 12 days until Christmas the people at Ninja Tune are getting into the festive spirit with competitions and give aways galore. Today they bring a HUGE Big Dada competition to a close but continue with another massive bundle of prizes!
Additionally, It’s been another huge year on Solid Steel, with amazing guests throughout 2014 and once again it’s that time for you to tell us which is your favourite mix. All the shows are available at SolidSteel.net or you can remind yourself with this list of 2014 shows here.
